Step One: Introductory Workshop
Wouldn't you like to to know why your baby is crying, what your baby wants to eat, and what's your baby's favorite toy? Think about how amazing it would be for your baby – who can't verbally speak yet – to be able to tell you where it hurts, like if she has an earache or teething pain.
We call this our introductory class but it's more like an advanced course because you'll learn more than 100 signs, all based on American Sign Language (ASL). Best of all, Baby Sign Language Instructor William White makes sign language easy to learn and fun to do.
Here's what's included in your "introductory" class:
• Thirteen fun-filled videos with games, songs, and stories that you can integrate into your everyday routines with your baby so you can start signing right away.
• Comprehensive video and photo dictionaries of more than 100 ASL signs so you can easily learn and review everything you're learning. You'll be impressed with how many signs you'll remember after taking this class!
• Access to the Happy Baby Signs online learning center for two weeks so you'll have plenty of time to learn and review to get you ready for our outrageously fun series classes!
Signing with your baby can jump-start your child's verbal skills, reduce frustrations for everybody, and build a bridge between what your baby understands and what your baby is ready to tell you.
Step Two: Live Online Six-Day Series
Are you ready to become a baby sign language master and teach your baby more signs so you can know exactly what your baby wants to say?
Join the master himself, Author and Happy Baby Signs Director Bill White for a live six-week online class series. Every Monday, you'll learn more signs, sing more songs, and have more fun learning how to sign with your baby. Hurry! Class size is limited to 10 people.
Six one-hour sessions - 10:00 (Pacific) / 1:00 (Eastern)
Mondays, Aug. 7 - Sept. 18 (Skip Sept. 4) Boom (Full)
Mondays, Oct. 2 - Nov. 13 (Skip Oct. 23) Zoom (Open)
It's easier to bite off six sessions than twelve sessions
We've split twelve sessions into two different six-day series: one is called Playgroup Boom and the other is called Playgroup Zoom. No need to take them in order. You can start with either Boom or Zoom. Both series include the essential basic starter signs and vary in the more advanced vocabulary. Shortly after your first six-day series, you’ll be thrilled to see your baby start to sign. That’s the time to enroll in the second series to increase your baby’s vocabulary and your own signing confidence!

Note Regarding Screen Time:
As parents we are mindful of the concerns with babies and "screen time." Keep in mind that our program is designed for adults, not babies. Even in our brick and mortar classes we say, "Babies are welcome but not required to attend." Most parents have their babies present even though many of the little ones are napping or nursing. At this age, babies are just along for the ride. If they're napping, let them sleep. If you are concerned about screen time for your baby during our online sessions you may use your earbuds and angle your phone or screen so your baby is not staring at it.
